Elizabeth Jean Peters (Canton, 15 oktober 1926 - Carlsbad, 13 oktober 2000) was een Amerikaans actrice.

Nadat ze een schoonheidswedstrijd won in 1946, vertrok Peters naar Hollywood om hier een carrière te beginnen. In 1947 kreeg ze haar eerste filmrol, toen ze tegenover Tyrone Power te zien was in Captain from Castile. Al vanaf het begin was Peters een actrice op de voorgrond en was in haar carrière te zien tegenover verscheidene grootheden.

In 1957 trouwde Peters met Howard Hughes. Ze ging met pensioen voor dit huwelijk, maar ze scheidden in 1971. Hierna kreeg Peters een kortdurende carrière in de televisie.

Peters stierf twee dagen voor haar vierenzeventigste verjaardag aan leukemie.

He worked as an assistant director from 1952 to 1961. He then became vice-president in charge of production operations at 20th Century Fox.

In 1971 he married the actress Jean Peters after she had divorced her estranged husband Howard Hughes. Hough then decided to become a producer and resigned his post at 20th Century Fox. His first job was on the successful movie Emperor of the North Pole starring Lee Marvin, Ernest Borgnine, and Keith Carradine. He then produced the Planet of the Apes TV series which only lasted for 13 episodes on CBS in September 1974. He wrote the stories for the successful westerns Bandolero! (1968) and The Undefeated (1969).
